BoLittle Bo Badger, 1993 son of Peppy San Badger and out of the mare Cow Cuttin Critter, was bred by Jack and Jody Elliot and raised by Wes and Allison Blevins of Templeton, California.  The Blevins owned  him until his four year old year and placed Bo in the Derby Sale at Will Rogers Coliseum-Fort Worth Texas. Bo was the high selling horse at the sale for his bloodlines, talent and conformation,  Gary and Marilyn Cottar of Springtown, Texas attending  the 1997 sale bought him!!!!  They Stand him at their ranch 2 X 4 Quarter Horses,Inc., also located in Springtown , TX and breed ,collect for shipment  and keep an amazing brood mare band of mares, board outside mares and  promote Bo and offer a full service farm, with personal and individualized  care to each and every horse.  It is a hands on operation, everyday seven days a week all 52 weeks a year.

Little Bo BadgerTo have been as successful in the show arena, with limited training, exemplifies Little Bo Badger's  natural talent which he passes to his get.   He was started as a two year old and after a choice, by the original owners, when they became disenchanted with the initial trainer,  they turned him out in the fall of his two year old year.   The renowned  trainer Scott Wies of Ojai, California brought Bo to his barn and resumed his training in MAY of his THREE year-old year.  He came on so quickly and had so much cow sense that Scott Wies advised the owners to enter him in the Pacific Coast Futurity that is held in October !   Bo surprised even Scott with his natural ability and natural cow sense......walking off after two minutes in the Open Finals with the 1996  PCCHA FUTURITY RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY...... !!!   Wow.  With limited showing, Bo also was an open finalist at the 1996 El CID Futurity, the 1996 Arizona Futurity, the 1997 PCCHA Derby, the 1997 NCHA Derby and 1998 Abilene Spectacular.  In 1998 he was retired to the breeding farm and to this  date has bred more than 200 mares, with his oldest foals being 5yr olds. Everyone is anxiously  anticipating where their talents are going to lead.   His get of riding age have gone to the Cutting pen and have really showed well in Reining and Reined Cow horse events.  His athletic body conformation  is a picture of  functional efficiency with a kind good mind. His get are willing and able to train.   At this writing, ten have been sold in Europe and are doing well.
